Dinner in the Sky anyone?
Not every dining experience comes with a security briefing beforehand — key among them to visit the bathroom beforehand and to stay in your seat. In fact, guests for a “Dinner in the Sky,” introduced to Canadians on Wednesday — are so securely strapped in, they can barely move. The novelty dining concept involves a crane that hoists a table along with seated guests about 30 or 40 metres into the air. Gourmet food is then served as the entire rig sways in the breeze and up to 22 guests admire the view while they eat or sip champagne. Originally from Belgium, “Dinner in the Sky” was introduced to Canadians in Toronto’s Dundas Square.
